Imlil, Asni or the Three Valleys: choosing an Atlas day out

Two Atlas excursions can share parts of a route while offering different priorities. Compare the actual stop list and walking plan rather than choosing only by the excursion name.

Ask which stops belong to your proposal

The site offers Imlil–Asni and Three Valleys outings from Marrakech. Ask whether your chosen programme includes Lalla Takerkoust, the Kik Plateau, Imlil or other stops, and how much time is planned at each. A photograph of a place does not replace a confirmed itinerary.

Choose scenery, walking or a village visit

Tell the team if you mainly want viewpoints, time on foot or a visit in a village. Ask about the walking route, terrain and any local guiding charge. A day excursion involving Imlil is not the same product as the two-day Toubkal trek, even if both involve the Atlas.

Clarify lunch and hosting arrangements

If a meal or local-house visit is proposed, confirm the details and cost before arrival. Mention dietary preferences and ask what can be accommodated. Keep some flexibility for the day while agreeing the essentials: transport, pickup, return and the activities actually included in your quotation.

Before you enquire

  • The exact named stops for your chosen excursion.
  • Walking duration, terrain and guiding.
  • Meal or village-visit arrangements and costs.
  • A written proposal matched to your group.
