Casablanca Airport to the city: train, taxi or private pickup?

Start with your final address in Casablanca

Write down your hotel, riad or other destination, plus the terminal shown on your flight information. Casablanca Mohammed V Airport is not the same as a city-centre train station. Even if you choose rail, you may still need another journey from the station to your accommodation. If you have not chosen a hotel yet, compare possible station locations and the area where you expect to stay before deciding.

The airport operator, ONDA, lists trains, taxis, arranged shuttles and rental cars among arrival options. Availability, fares and timetables can change; use the airport and transport operators for current details.

Compare the options by the whole journey

• Train: ONDA says the airport railway station is accessible from the arrivals hall. The rail operator, ONCF, publishes connections and current schedules. Check which Casablanca station makes sense for your address, whether you need another transfer after the train, and how you will travel with your luggage.
• Airport taxi: ONDA lists taxi service to Casablanca and other Moroccan cities. Check the official airport information for the current fare arrangements and agree your destination before leaving the airport. A taxi taken at arrivals is a different arrangement from a private pickup quoted in advance.
• Pre-arranged private pickup: If you want a route quoted before travel, give the airport, flight information, destination address, passenger count and luggage details. Check the airport bus before choosing

ONDA also describes an Aérobus connection between the airport and Casablanca. Check its current stops, operating information and fare with ONDA or the operator for your date. As with a train, compare where the bus leaves you with the address of your accommodation; a final local connection may still be needed.

A door-to-door arrival checklist

1. At the airport: Check the terminal on your flight details and where the chosen service starts. ONDA lists separate public-hall exits for Terminals 1 and 2.
2. Across the city: If considering rail or bus, check the current route and the stop or station nearest your accommodation, not only the first leg from the airport.
3. At your address: Confirm the full hotel, riad or street address and how you will reach it with luggage from the last stop. If requesting private pickup, share that address before the team quotes.
4. Before travel: Recheck operator details and agree the private quote and meeting instructions where relevant. A request alone does not confirm a vehicle.

When rail may fit your plan

Rail can be practical if an ONCF service fits your arrival and you are comfortable handling the connection from the station to your final address. Check the last part of the trip in advance, particularly if you are arriving with large luggage or staying away from the station. Do not rely on a timetable quoted in an older travel article: check the live ONCF information for your travel date.

When a quoted pickup may fit better

A private pickup is worth comparing if your group wants one agreed journey from the airport to a specific Casablanca address, or if the train would leave you with another connection to arrange. Send the full destination address where known; a neighbourhood name alone may not identify the drop-off point.
