Camel ride in Marrakech: planning a palm-grove outing

A palm-grove camel ride is a different outing from a Sahara camp journey. Check the setting and programme first so the experience matches the time you have and the photographs you expect.

Know which experience you are choosing

The published Marrakech outing visits the palm grove and includes an approximately one-hour ride with a local guide. It is not the overnight Merzouga route. If you want a desert camp or a different setting, explain that before requesting this activity.

Allow time for the transfer

Hotel or riad pickup and return are part of the published programme. Riding time does not include the drive, meeting the guide or preparing for the activity. Confirm the pickup location and expected return before combining the outing with a flight or another excursion.

Make the request fit your group

Give the number of adults and children and describe any assistance needed to get on or off the animal. Ask the operator about participation requirements, clothing and alternatives for anyone who does not wish to ride. Meals and personal purchases are not included in the listed programme; confirm the complete quote before accepting.

Before you enquire

  • Palm-grove ride or a different desert experience.
  • Pickup address, ride duration and return time.
  • Children’s ages and assistance requirements.
  • Written quote and operator confirmation.
