One week in Morocco: compare seven-day route options

A useful Morocco itinerary starts with two decisions: where you arrive and what you most want to experience. With one week, choosing a clear route leaves more time to enjoy the places you visit.

Which route fits your seven days?

For a published seven-day tour, start with our Casablanca-to-Marrakech itinerary. For the Sahara, compare the three-day Fes and Marrakech routes and plan the remaining days around your flights. For fewer changes of accommodation, consider a city stay and an Essaouira stop.

Start with your arrival and departure cities

Share both airports or cities before choosing a tour. A route that finishes in another city can suit an onward flight; a return journey needs time for the final transfer. Keep your arrival and departure days visible in the plan rather than treating them as full sightseeing days.

Choose a main theme

For cities and the north, consider a custom route involving Fes, Chefchaouen, Rabat or Tangier. For a Sahara journey, compare the published routes connecting Fes and Marrakech through Merzouga. For a less frequently changing base, combine a city stay with selected excursions and a coastal stop. These are planning directions, not fixed packages with the same duration.

Compare the published routes honestly

Our seven-day tour starts in Casablanca, visits Chefchaouen, Fes and the Sahara, and finishes in Marrakech. Our nine-day itinerary also includes Chefchaouen and returns to Casablanca. Compare the daily routes and your flight times before choosing. If you have fewer days, ask which stops to remove.

Leave room for the way you travel

Tell us whether you prefer markets and medinas, scenery, walking or time to relax. Travelling with children, older relatives or someone who needs fewer stairs can change the route and accommodation choices. Ask for each day's driving and walking expectations before confirming.

Before you enquire

  • Arrival and departure cities, dates and flight times.
  • Your two or three most important destinations.
  • Preferred pace, number of travellers and accommodation preferences.
  • A written itinerary showing overnight stops and what the quote includes.
